Aurelius Apion, the one who is also Ptolemy, the magistrate and councilor of the city of Oxyrhynchus, to Aurelius Hierakos and to him also, greetings. I acknowledge and now I have received from you through your hand the full tribute of wheat in the matter of the current year's harvest of six hundred wheat artabae.
If you should take the names during the summer of the same current year into the public treasury, and a matter that is pure from all, I will return to you under the first measurement without exception; but if not, I will exact from you the tribute for that time of the wheat in the matter, double, being made to you of the transaction from me and from all that I have, being the lord of which you have another exchange of five hundred wheat artabae, on which it contains all.
And this handwritten document is written in duplicate, being carried everywhere and to all who are bringing it for you. And being questioned by you, I acknowledged. (Year) of the emperors Caesar Titus Fulvius Iunius Macrianus and Titus Fulvius Iunius Quietus, the pious and fortunate.
