To Septimius Hermes and Hermaiscus, the chief priest, and to the administration of the finances and other criteria, from Aelius, of Syrian descent, of those who have been honorably released. The aforementioned document is an original copy of the release.
Aurelius Sarapodorus, having begun the gymnasium, a council member of Heracleopolis, to Aelius Syrian, the landholder in the village of Ankyron, through Niketas the freedman. I acknowledge that I have delivered to you the release and have refrained from claiming from you what I lent to you through the Syrians by means of written documents, two drachmas, and that you should not accuse me of anything nor should you bring any charges against me regarding these matters.
This is to be done in public for the benefit of each of the written documents, for the end and the value of the release from me, this is the same as remaining for me what comes from it as from public finance.
