Having been granted to me from the current month of Choiak until the month of Kaisarion, from the fifth of the current month of the fifth year of the Emperor Caesar Vespasianus, I am subject to the taxes and assessments in the aforementioned village, in total, the sum of sixty drachmas, which I will also pay whenever it is required, if it seems necessary to contribute to the aforementioned. To Apollonios, son of Apollonios, collector of the weighing-office of the metropolis and of pastures and other purchases, from Theon, son of Theon, son of Horos, from the village of Karanis. Since permission has been granted to me from the present month Choiak until the month Kaisareios, the fifth of the intercalary days of the present fifth year of Emperor Caesar Vespasian Augustus, to sell wool by retail and by weight in the aforementioned village, I undertake to pay as tax, in total, sixty silver drachmas, which I will pay whenever you choose, if it seems good to grant permission for the aforementioned matters.
