"The property of Hermes son of Ptolemy, namely, that of Katoitis and Petesouchos, is held by Hermes of the silver coinage of the Augustan currency, amounting to sixty drachmas, immediately through hand from the house and in lieu of these interests, to have granted to those who acknowledge to Hermes to reside, both himself and those from him, and whoever he may wish among those who acknowledge in the aforementioned village, in the ninth and twenty-seventh parts, in common and indivisible with him, Hermes of the remaining parts of the properties and of all the co-owners, and to confirm those who acknowledge and those from them to Hermes and to those from him regarding the lease of this property, with all confirmation and let it be provided free from all debts, both public and private, and not to impose any part or hinder them. But if Hermes appears to have incurred expenses for repairs or construction and those who acknowledge wish to repay, let them repay along with the principal silver, of the trust concerning him being. The undersigned of those acknowledging, Heliodorus son of Heliodorus, as of (years?) 40, the property of Katoitis and Pechou, both of Horus and their mother, the daughter of Suerius, the husband of Apollonius son of Apollonius, we acknowledge to have from Hermes the sixty drachmas of silver through hand and in lieu of these interests, we agree to reside him in the place imposed upon us in the ninth and twenty-seventh parts of the properties and we will confirm, and if he appears to have incurred expenses for repairs or construction, we will repay, of the trust concerning him being as it is stated. That Katoites and Petesouchos have received from Hermas sixty drachmas of silver, imperial coinage, as principal, immediately by hand from the house, and in place of interest on this sum, the undersigned have agreed that Hermas and those from him and whomever he wishes may dwell in the ninth and twenty-seventh hereditary share belonging to them in the aforementioned village, jointly and indivisibly with Hermas himself, of the remaining parts of the house plots and all appurtenances. The undersigned guarantee to Hermas and those from him secure possession of this dwelling in every respect, free from all public and private debts, with no one making any claim or hindrance against them or any part thereof.
If Hermas is shown to have incurred expenses for repairs or rebuilding, and the undersigned wish to repay, they shall repay along with the aforementioned sum of money, with trust placed in Hermas himself.
